It’s Yeti’s realisation of what a hardcore hardtail should be; slack, low and a hell of a lot of fun.

Mountain Flyer
Tested: Yeti ARC

Apr 2021

The concept of the mountain bike hardtail has evolved greatly over the span of the sport’s (relatively) brief history. Back in the heyday of Breeze, Fisher, Ritchey and the rest, no one called a hardtail a hardtail. It was just a mountain bike. Dual suspension (or any truly reliable suspension, front or rear) was years away.

Yeti ARC T1: first ride review - MBR

Sep 2020 · James Bracey

With its latest hardtail - the Yeti ARC T1 - this iconic brand reimagines one of its retro classics for the modern era. If only the pricing was retro too...

Highs
  • Geometry and handling of a full suspension trail bike makes it far more capable than many hardtails. Low weight induces less fatigue on long rides. Wickedly fun down any trail.

Lows
  • Sometimes you only remember it’s a hardtail when it’s too late. Nearly £5k is strong money for a hardtail.
