The Yeti SB130 is a versatile trail bike that excels in both climbing and descending, offering a balanced ride with supportive suspension and modern geometry. It's praised for its efficient pedaling, excellent traction, and fun factor, though some riders note it demands an active riding style and can feel cramped for taller riders. Comparisons often highlight its performance against bikes like the Ibis Ripmo and Yeti SB150.
Excellent climbing abilities
Impressive downhill performance
High fun factor
Supportive suspension at the end of the stroke
Modern geometry for active riding
Demands an active riding style in corners
Can feel cramped for riders above 6'1"

The Yeti SB130 is an excellent choice for a LOT of the general riding population.
This bike is by far the most supportive (at the end of the stroke) of all the bikes I rode in 2021.
The SB130 delivers ripping downhill performance on a wide range of terrain.
Unique and ingenious – the Switch Infinity link performs brilliantly both uphill and downhill!

Jeff Kendall-Weed Yeti SB130 Lunch Ride review and compared to Ibis Ripmo, Evil Offering, Orbea Occam, and more.

May 2020
The original SB 130, but with a little more travel in the front and rear. It's just a little bit more, but not too much. Kind of like its namesake.

The Yeti SB130 TLR is specced the way most Yeti employees have their bikes for the daily lunch ride. The company has been closing from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM every day for the last 20 years as the boys and girls that work there go out for their lunch ride. Anyone who’s ridden the […]
Rear suspension offers lots of traction and comfort
Great pedalling position on the climbs
Comfortable even on demanding trails
Requires a very active riding style in the corners
A little underwhelming on flat, flowing trails

A good bike, but its longer-travel sibling happily does the same trail work with more DH capability
Bumps simply don’t slow this thing down much
Seated climbing position puts hips and backside bang above the bottom bracket for efficient pedalling
Needs aggression to flow through tighter turns, which won’t suit all riders
Doesn’t seem to offer any more urgency when sprinting or climbing than the amazing SB150

At last weekend’s Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California, the Yeti SB130 LR was unveiled, mimicking staff builds, and perhaps offering what many Yeti fans had wanted in the first place. - Mtbr.com
