Summary

The Yeti ARC trail bike is celebrated for its modern geometry, versatile performance, and playful yet capable ride quality. It excels on smooth trails and technical ascents, offering a balanced and predictable experience. However, its low bottom-bracket height can lead to crank strikes, and its high price point is a notable drawback.

Pros
  • Modern geometries

  • Balanced and predictable ride characteristics

  • Excellent traction with Maxxis Rekon tires

  • Quiet ride with no cable rattle

  • Well-rounded performance on various terrains

Cons
  • Low bottom-bracket height leads to crank strikes

  • High price point

  • Limited water bottle capacity

Key Quotes
The harder and faster the Yeti is flogged on these types of trails, the more comfortable it seems.

Tested: Yeti ARC

Apr 2021

The concept of the mountain bike hardtail has evolved greatly over the span of the sport’s (relatively) brief history. Yeti ARC T1: first ride review - MBR

Sep 2020 · James Bracey

With its latest hardtail - the Yeti ARC T1 - this iconic brand reimagines one of its retro classics for the modern era. If only the pricing was retro too...

Highs
  • Geometry and handling of a full suspension trail bike makes it far more capable than many hardtails. Low weight induces less fatigue on long rides. Wickedly fun down any trail.

Lows
  • Sometimes you only remember it’s a hardtail when it’s too late. Nearly £5k is strong money for a hardtail.

First Impressions: Yeti ARC Hardtail

Aug 2020

Not all progressive trail hardtails have to be grotesque caricatures of modern geometry. The Yeti ARC is shreddy, but in an accessible sort of way.

Yeti ARC modern hardtail now available in non-limited edition models

Aug 2020 · Zach Overholt

The 35th Anniversary Yeti ARC is a sweet build that honors the heritage of the brand. But what about those who can’t afford a limited edition, $10k hardtail? Well, if you were hoping that Yeti would eventually release more modest builds of their newest hardtail, you’re in luck – the Yeti ARC is now back […]
