Vitus Sentier 275 VR - MBR

Dec 2019 · Alan Muldoon

Successfully defending its 2018 title, the handsome Vitus Sentier 27 VR defies its sub £1,000 price point with the best spec, geometry and overall finish.

Highs
  • Great spec, fast, massively versatile and lightest on test.

Lows
  • No dropper post, cheap resin pad-only rotors.

Vitus Sentier 27 VRS review

Nov 2018

Not long launched, we’ve had a new 2019 Vitus Sentier 27 VRS for test as the first of a long list of winter hardtails to review. This one proved to be a fun trail bike at a very reasonable price, it’s not the most aggressive bike you’ll ever sit on but it's an entertaining ride and the spec updates for this year are great upgrades. Review - Rose Count Solo 3 XC race bike The best MTB's you can buy for under £1,500 The Sentier 27 VRS is the top but one bike in the range with only the range topping Sentier VRX sitting above it.

Remarkably sorted and well-equipped ready-to-riot hardtail for those who like to really connect with the trail. Buy if you want a bang-up-to-date budget blaster

Highs
  • Superb slackened, refreshed frame, competent spec, sorted handling

Lows
  • Very little, given the inbuilt limitations of a hardtail with a budget fork
