Summary
The Vitus Venon is praised for its comfortable and smooth ride, making it an excellent choice for endurance cycling. It features a high modulus carbon frame and fork, quality components, and confident handling, though some reviews note the bike's weight and basic cockpit as drawbacks. The Venon stands out for its value and performance in long-distance rides.
Comfortable and smooth ride for endurance cycling
High modulus carbon frame and fork
Quality components and confident handling
Good value for the performance offered
Somewhat heavy, not a lightweight option
Basic cockpit and finishing kit
Mechanical brakes lack the feel of hydraulic setups
If you’re after a comfortable machine for longer rides and sportives, which doesn’t compromise too much on position, the Venon Disc is a good contender.
The Vitus Venon Disc 105 is a long way from spritely.
'Smooth’ is the first word that springs to mind, with ‘floaty’ joining it in the Venon’s big book of cycling adjectives.

A carbon-framed endurance bike that's built to go the distance
Very stable ride
Especially downhill
Well-balanced comfort front and rear
RS404 disc brakes are great in all conditions
Internal cables are noisy on rough roads
Cockpit and finishing kit are basic
With thin bar tape and handlebars
Disappointing to have toe overlap on a 54cm bike

The Vitus Venon Disc from Chain Reaction Cycles is a quality carbon framed endurance machine
Comfortable spec
Not too upright
Quality spec with full 105 groupset
Non-hydraulic disc brakes
Narrow bars
Uninspiring paint job

The lightness of its ride and its smooth-rolling comfort – apart from the bar – make it an extremely capable endurance machine, and one we’d happily employ for day-long events.. .
Buttery smooth ride, well equipped for the cash
Overly stiff bar, maybe not as exciting as some
