Summary
The Ventum NS1 is a versatile aero road bike that excels in both speed and comfort, making it suitable for long rides and less than perfect pavement. It features a lightweight design, competitive pricing, and customization options, though some may find its front end too stiff or its branding generic. The bike is praised for its stable handling and efficient performance, but it may not be the fastest aero option for those seeking pure speed.
Competitive pricing
Lightweight for an aero bike
Comfortable for long rides
Stable and precise handling
Customisation options available
Too much vertical stiffness in the front end
Relatively rough ride on bumpy roads
Branding is a bit generic
All-rounder attitude may not suit those looking for the fastest aero bike
It's not hard to make a bike very stiff. It's also not hard to make a bike very soft or cushy - but to do both well is difficult.
The NS1 performs best at speed, and its stiff qualities and tight handling aid in that aspect.Road Bike Action
The bike felt stiff where it should, in pedaling efficiency and steering, without feeling jarring in the saddle.
