Summary
The Trek Remedy is celebrated for its exceptional balance between climbing efficiency and descending prowess, making it a versatile trail bike. Its Re:Aktiv shock and adjustable geometry contribute to a ride that's both playful and stable, though some reviews note the stock shock tune may be too soft for aggressive riding. The bike's ability to handle a variety of terrains with confidence and fun is frequently highlighted, despite some critiques on wheel and tire choices.
Exceptional climber and descender
Very nimble and ridiculously playful
Well balanced and versatile
Re:Aktiv shock with regressive valve for stable pedaling and bump absorption
Adjustable geometry for customized ride feel
Stock shock tune may be too soft for aggressive riding
Some wheel and tire combinations limit performance
Price is on the higher side for some models
The carbon Remedy 29 is that guy. It goes up better than many of the bikes that it also goes down better than, and it smiles the whole time.
It’s hard to say what this bike’s strongest suit is because it really seems exceptionally well balanced–it’s a very nimble, ridiculously playful bike.
The Remedy 29 9.9 climbs with tenacity and descends with rapacity.
The Remedy is, however, very solid — something that heavier riders will no doubt appreciate.

An efficient climber and incredible descender in one lightweight package
Stock wheels and tires hold back the bike’s potential
Needs a firmer shock tune for aggressive riding
