Summary
The Scott Ransom is a versatile enduro bike that excels in both climbing and descending, thanks to its adjustable geometry and TracLoc system. It offers a smooth and supple ride, with a suspension that provides excellent grip and stability on rough trails. While it's praised for its value and performance, some reviews note issues with component choices and accessibility for setup adjustments.
Adjustable geometry and TracLoc system for optimized performance
Smooth and supple suspension with excellent grip
Versatile for both climbing and descending
High-quality components and competitive weight
Integrated storage solutions and clean frame design
Headset-routed cables and one-piece bar and stem
Increased weight compared to previous model
Restricted access to shock for setup and adjustments
Some mismatched drivetrain components
The Ransom eRIDE 910 cuts a fine figure on technical climbs and encourages you to get rowdy on your way back into the valley
Intricate, involving, and ingenious, the new Ransom is as much of a delight to ride as it is easy on the eye.
The real ace up the Ransom’s sleeve is the TracLoc remote, giving you two bikes in one.

It’s fun and intuitive to ride, but isn’t quite as calm or controlled on trails as the suspension travel and component spec would lead you to believe
Intuitive to ride quickly
Bosch motor feels great
Fox dampers are easy to set up
Mostly well-specced
Tyre traction very limited
Undamped and harsh ride at times
Tall frame limits size choice

In last year's eMTB group test, the Ransom eRIDE 910 secured our coveted Best Buy tip, offering an excellent proposition as an all-rounder at a very fair price. With its FOX Performance Elite 180 mm suspension, 29” wheels and Bosch motor, the Swiss eMTB bruiser proved not only to be a great fix for adrenaline junkies but also a versatile do-it-all machine. Was SCOTT's € 7,199 eMTB all-rounder able to secure the Best Buy for the second year in a row?
Inspires huge amounts of confidence regardless of your riding skills
Suspension generates huge amount of traction and offers huge reserves
Comfort on long rides
Mismatched drivetrain components
Standard Bosch charge port cover doesn't protect from the elements
