It excels in climbing and handling, with a design that encourages aggressive riding while maintaining comfort for longer races. Lightweight and stiff racing frames
Amazingly responsive, but still comfortable for all-day racing
Aero tube profiles and reduced waste
Well-mannered handling
Good balance of pedalling stiffness and comfort
Weight penalty due to aero tube profiles and integrated cable routing
Slightly sluggish feel with stock tyres
Price is higher than some competitors without offering the best value
The Addict RC feels exactly how I want a race bike to feel, but does it with just the right amount of additional comfort and control.
The Scott Addict RC 15 is an undiluted race bike.
The Addict RC is a competitively light, aerodynamic bike that inspires you to go faster and holds your hand while you do it.

Scott’s classic road racer reinvented for the modern era
Well-mannered handling
Great balance of pedalling stiffness and comfort
Tidy but adjustable cockpit
Includes a power meter
Mid-range tyres don’t do the frameset justice
Less tyre clearance than the competition

SCOTT are confident enough not to send the flagship version of the Addict RC series into this group test, settling on the Addict RC Pro instead. No wonder, since the differences to the top-end model are limited. Besides a different carbon layup for the frame, the RC Pro uses a Shimano DURA-ACE Di2 groupset instead of SRAM RED eTap AXS, and Syncros wheels instead of Zipp. Is that enough for it to hold its own against the four fastest race bikes of the 2021 season?
Excellent climbing performance, despite bulky tires and the highest weight in the test
Good vibration damping
Loves corners and carving thanks to the wide tires
Good combination of smoothness and directness
Low inherent comfort of the frame
Sacrifices pure race performance with large tires
No power meter installed

Scott has refined the Addict to be a competitive, all-around road bike for 2020. At 17.84 pounds, the Addict RC isn’t a featherweight. Price wise, the RC 20

The latest iteration of Scott's lightweight bike is ridden by Team DSM – this mid-range version brings pro-level performance to a much lower price point

Habit-forming road racer-cum all-rounder that excels on ascents
Lightweight
Superb brakes
Rapid and engaging on rolling roads and climbs
Neat cable integration
Still areas where weight could be lost

At less than half the price of the range-topping Addict RC Ultimate, is the Addict RC 15 less than half as good?
Confidence-inspiring ride
On-trend tan-walled tyres and matching saddle
Tubeless ready wheels
Ultegra Di2 is faultless as ever
Flimsy derailleur hanger
Only missing a power meter
May 2020 · Dan Cavallari
The Addict RC Pro feels like a jack of all trades that's a lot of fun to ride, but it could stand to hone its main purpose to become a master in one category.

Mar 2020 · Stu Kerton
Superb stiffness levels and great handling makes this one fun aero bike to ride hard
Very clever cable routing
Impressive race performance
Gear hanger is quite exposed to accidental damage
