Summary
The Scott Addict gravel bike series is praised for its lightweight, responsive frame and versatile performance across various terrains. It offers a mix of road speed and off-road grip, with models featuring advanced components like SRAM Force 1 and GRX Di2 for precise shifting and braking. While some models are noted for their race-ready specs and excellent handling, others are criticized for being over-specced or too stiff for casual riding. The series includes options for both competitive racing and endurance rides, with some models highlighting modularity and aerodynamic features.

It’s virtually an aero build and, aside from the knobbly tyres, feels as responsive as my road bike in all conditions – which is why it’s calling out to be raced.
The 700C wheels and Schwalbe tyres offer a surprising combination of road speed and off-road grip.
Scott was quick to enter the then-emerging gravel market, becoming one of the first mainstream brands to launch a dedicated gravel bike.
Fast, comfortable, sweet-handling road bike with the benefit of smooth power assistance.

A bike that’s set alight the women’s professional peloton while appealing to recreational riders too
Effortlessly carries speed and always turns heads
Aggressive race position won’t suit all riders

SCOTT are confident enough not to send the flagship version of the Addict RC series into this group test, settling on the Addict RC Pro instead. No wonder, since the differences to the top-end model are limited. Besides a different carbon layup for the frame, the RC Pro uses a Shimano DURA-ACE Di2 groupset instead of SRAM RED eTap AXS, and Syncros wheels instead of Zipp. Is that enough for it to hold its own against the four fastest race bikes of the 2021 season?
Excellent climbing performance, despite bulky tires and the highest weight in the test
Good vibration damping
Loves corners and carving thanks to the wide tires
Good combination of smoothness and directness
Low inherent comfort of the frame
Sacrifices pure race performance with large tires
No power meter installed

Very fast feeling bike with a great ride quality, although it's up against some tough competition on price
Smooth, clean looks
Good spec list
Balanced handling
Up against some well-priced competition

Scott has refined the Addict to be a competitive, all-around road bike for 2020. At 17.84 pounds, the Addict RC isn’t a featherweight. Price wise, the RC 20

Longer, with more tire clearance, and more aero – the Addict Gravel takes cues from Scott's aero road bikes and its mountain bikes.
