SCOTT are confident enough not to send the flagship version of the Addict RC series into this group test, settling on the Addict RC Pro instead. No wonder, since the differences to the top-end model are limited. Besides a different carbon layup for the frame, the RC Pro uses a Shimano DURA-ACE Di2 groupset instead of SRAM RED eTap AXS, and Syncros wheels instead of Zipp. Is that enough for it to hold its own against the four fastest race bikes of the 2021 season?

SRAM’s gearing matched with the high overall compliance of the Scott Addict RC 20 adds much needed versatility to the market of increasingly compartmentalized road bike designs. It is fully capable of tackling the rigors of modern road riding from minimally maintained gravel roads, to fire roads, as well as buttery smooth asphalt.

Amazingly responsive, but still comfortable for all-day racing. Clever integration and attention to detail.
