Big tires and better suspension blew us away on this women’s trail bike—and it’s not even the most expensive model

The basis of the Scott Genius 720 layout comes from the Scott Spark, which means it gets an upside down shock, cradled in a Trunnion mount at the down tube.
Does everything very well
But lacks sparkle

Flow Mountain Bike reviews the new 2018 Scott Contessa Genius 720. After a month of shredding, what do we think of this women's trail bike?
Looks brilliant.
Loads of grip.
Excellent mix of stability and playfulness.
Twin Loc / dropper lever arrangement is hard for small hands.

Good trail bike for getting started, but nervy on technical terrain. Buy if you want a budget bike for forest paths and bridleways, and like an upright riding position
Sturdy feeling frame with good power transference on the pedal stroke means it’s nippy. Though dated, the 3x8 Shimano gearing provides plenty of range for getting up steep climbs.
Tyres are super sketchy, and well worth upgrading immediate for better traction. The geometry and upright position places the rider high and forward
Great for flats and climbs, nervy on technical terrain and descents.
