Lightweight, compliant frame and excellent RockShox fork.
No clutch in the Shimano XT rear mech to help keep the chain on and prevent it whipping the stays.

Scott’s Scale is impressively fast and light for a ‘plus’ bike but still loves blasting technical descents. Buy if you want the equivalent of a plus-sized whippet – but one that'll happily gobble up descents its skinnier relatives would think twice about
