a name-calling bully, but one you want in your corner when things get rowdy.

The Megatower feels solid and great in the turns, but the suspension isn’t perfect and the build kit isn’t particularly good value when compared to most of the other bikes in our Enduro Bike of the Year top ten
Good geometry with useful adjustment
Great tyres
Feels fast and confident in the turns
SRAM’s NX Eagle isn’t bad but a little disappointing on a bike of this price
The Yari fork isn’t as composed or comfortable as the Lyrik equivalent
Rear suspension could be more sensitive

Megatower – what a brilliant name! Besides that, its key specs make this bike a very exciting option for many enduro riders and it was high time to find out how it compares.
Versatility
Excellent workmanship
Very good mix of agility and composure
Demanding in rough terrain
Seat tube angle too slack for climbing

The Megatower is one stout bike, but it requires a little extra effort to really get it to come alive.
Efficient suspension feel for climbing
Solid + sturdy feeling
Multiple geometry adjustments
Square edged bump performance is lacking
Suspension setup can be tricky
Seat angle could be even steeper

It has 29-inch wheels, 160mm of VPP travel, a coil-shock option, and two flip chips to customize the ride.

Is it a Nomad 29 or a Bronson 29? We spent a month on the Megatower, Santa Cruz's brand new big bike, and we think we know the answer.
Mar 2019 · Danny Milner
Is this new Santa Cruz Megatower a big wheel Nomad or something completely different? Here’s the low-down and our first ride review thoughts.
Most capable 29er (excluding V10) that Santa Cruz has built, great sizing accommodates a wide range of heights, excellent level of tunability
Boutique prices, poor cable routing for UK brakes, seat angle could be steeper

The new Santa Cruz Megatower is a 29-inch wheeled brawler that’s ready for the Enduro World Series — or whatever gnar you want to throw at it. - Mtbr.com
