For the longest time, the Santa Cruz Bronson has been the quintessential 150mm travel trail bike in the Santa Cruz line, the new Bronson offers mullet.
Pitter-patter suspension
Front end is too high

Santa Cruz has done an impressive job with the Bronson V4 at finding a perfect middle ground between the 5010’s playfulness and the Hightower’s desire to go fast, and the result is an absolute riot of a machine that’ll shred it all.
Playful Character
Shredding capabilities
Santa Cruz Build Quality
Can’t not smile on this bike!
Inspires stupidity (which could result in crashes)
Slight rearward bias not for everyone
Not the fastest bike if you’re a racer

Version 4.0 of the Bronson retains its 150mm of travel, but is now running a 29" front / 27.5" rear wheel combo.

The Santa Cruz Bronson debuted in 2013 as one of the first 27.5 trail bikes available and made a name for itself as the pedal-worthy counterpart to its bigger sibling, the Nomad. In 2016, after hearing tales of hucking and technical prowess, I was lured by the 150 mm of travel in the front and rear, so I forked up the cash and became a Generation 2.0 Santa Cruz Bronson CC convert.

A brawler finds joy in chaos, and that’s where the Bronson thrives.
Dec 2018 · Christoph Bayer
The Santa Cruz Bronson has already won a prize for the best release video of the year! But is the bike really as much fun as suggested in the clip?
You're guaranteed to have fun
Superb rear linkage
Excellent workmanship
Requires an active riding style
Chain comes off due to lack of a guide
