Summary
The Rondo Ruut is a versatile gravel bike with adjustable geometry and a unique design aimed at providing a comfortable yet efficient ride. It's praised for its handling, ride quality, and the ability to adapt to various terrains, though some reviews note a stiff front end and limited vertical compliance from the interrupted seat tube. The bike stands out for its innovative features like the SRAM UDH interface and increased tire clearance, making it a strong contender in the gravel bike market.
Adjustable geometry for versatility
Unique design with shock-absorbing properties
Increased tire clearance for varied terrain
SRAM UDH interface for drivetrain compatibility
Excellent handling and ride quality
Stiff riding experience, particularly from the front end
Interrupted seat tube did not offer much noticeable vertical compliance
Wheels could benefit from being carbon for reduced weight and increased stiffness
one of the stiffest riding gravel bikes I have ridden in recent memory
The ride is like that of a speedy endurance bike.
The Rondo Ruut CF1 G2 stands out for many reasons besides its wild design – it's beautifully balanced, well-appointed and fast when the going gets rough.

Originally launched in 2017, the Rondo Ruut CF has carved a reputation for its impressive handling and ride quality. Now in its second iteration, the Ruut CF1 aims to build on these fundamentals with a series of radical design and geometry changes that make it even more competitive than before. Like its forebear, it benefits from adjustable geometry but also gets a SRAM UDH interface for compatibility with T-Type drivetrains and the Red XPLR AXS groupset.
