Jun 2020
Rocky Mountain claims their new Slayer is meant for riding fast and sending it deep - without being a beast to pedal to the top...
Aggressive big mountain capability
Well-thought-out component spec
Good small bump compliance and mid-stroke sensitivity
Adjustable geometry via Ride-9 system
Integrated chain guide and cable management
Quality paint and finish
Fits water bottle in front triangle
Not light weight

Rocky Mountain have completely redesigned the Slayer. With its super plush rear suspension and downhill-focused geometry, it ended up being one of the favourites of our test crew.
Incredibly sensitive rear suspension
Considered and high-quality spec
Good pedalling position on the climbs
Front wheel likes to wander
Climb switch required for the climbs
Aggressor tire on the rear wheel isn’t very versatile

Aug 2019
The new Rocky Mountain Slayer is not fucking around. It makes the previous Slayer—which is no slouch on the descents—seem like an XC bike in comparison.

Aug 2019 · Steve Fisher
