Summary
The Ribble HT enduro bike offers a mix of smooth ride quality and lively handling, with a steel frame that provides good vibration damping and comfort. It's praised for its progressive geometry and gravity-fed design, but some reviews note issues with the front end's stability and the fork's performance. The bike is seen as a good value for entry into the hardtail market, especially for those who prioritize downhill riding.
Super smooth ride with good vibration damping
Progressive geometry for gravity-fed riding
Compliant steel frame provides comfort
Good value for entry into the hardtail market
Clearance for up to 2.6" tyres and internal cable routing
Front end can feel vague and nervy through corners
Fork performance is underwhelming with flexy stanchions
High bottom bracket reduces confidence
Price increases without spec changes
No 29er version available
Ribble’s HT 725 Pro looks both pretty and promising on paper and it’s a super smooth, chunk-swallowing cruiser as you’d hope from a steel frame.
The Ribble is full of personality, and a heap of fun to ride – on the right kind of terrain
All it needs now is a lower BB and a higher-quality dropper post and Ribble could easily give some of the steel stalwarts a run for their money
It's progressive, good looking and built for gravity-fed riding – it ticks most boxes for hardtail lovers

A hugely capable, highly fun steel hardtail for a pretty reasonable price

Ribble’s steel hardtail looks fantastic and seems to tick all the boxes but how does it ride when things get tasty?
Super smooth ride
Lively spring for 725
Loads of color and trim options
Mostly solid aggro spec
Internal cable routing and ample tire space
Big ground clearance for pedaling
Short reach and tall bottom bracketreduce confidence
Twisty front end means vague tracking
27.5in front tire slides more than a 29in would
High price for primarily direct sell brand

The Ribble HT 725 Sport is a great 150mm steel hardtail for those on a budget. It's progressive, good looking and built for gravity-fed riding – it ticks most boxes for hardtail lovers, though it's a shame there's no 29er version alongside these 650b frames. Ribble HT Ti SRAM GX Eagle hardtail review Five things that weren't cool - until enduro happened The ultimate guide to frame materials: what's best for bikes? Just as with Ribble's HT Ti we reviewed in 2019, the HT 725 is a lovely-looking hardtail. This one is built from steel, though, and comes at much lower price.

The Ribble HT 725 has a mainframe that's UK-designed Reynolds heat-treated chromoly steel hardtail featuring slack and long geometry.
Great vibration damping
BB is too high
