Summary
The Ribble CGR series is celebrated for its versatility, comfortably handling gravel, all-road, and commuting duties with a focus on durability and comfort. Its titanium and steel frames offer a smooth ride, while the aluminum versions provide great value. Customization options via Ribble's Bike Builder program allow for personalized builds, though some models may be weighty or have components that limit off-road performance.
Versatile for gravel, all-road, and commuting
Comfortable ride quality
Customizable via Bike Builder program
Durable with robust build quality
Affordable pricing for the features offered
Some models are weighty, affecting climbing and sprinting
Certain components may limit off-road performance
Non-tubeless wheels on some builds
High geared for toughest off-road conditions
Ribble’s most versatile do-it-all dropbar bike
The new frame design also provides a very comfortable ride (obviously the large volume tyres contribute to this).
With its looks, superb spec for long rides and versatility, it’s no wonder there’s a queue for Ribble’s titanium mile muncher.
Versatility is the thing I keep coming back to with the CGR and that's really the heart of this machine.

Ribble's CGR 725 SRAM Apex 1x 650b is a hugely versatile bike that offers incredible value to boot. The combination of steel frame and plump but fast-rolling 47mm tyres deliver a comfortable ride on dirt while still being plenty quick on road, with sorted handling that's a happy medium between stability and steering agility; it's quite possibly all the drop bar bike you need for gravel, road or commuting.

A steel all-rounder that’s about as versatile as it could be, and comfortable with it
Great looks, comfortable ride, bags of practicality and versatility
Loads of customisation available
It’s a little weighty and I’d have liked hydraulic brakes
