Summary
The Ragley Blue Pig is a versatile enduro hardtail that combines a smooth and stable chassis with progressive geometry, making it capable on rough trails. While it offers a comfortable ride and efficient performance, some reviews note it can feel harsh on very rough terrain and lacks the snappiness of some competitors. Its high-end build kit and geometry are frequently praised, though some components like the brakes and fork have received mixed feedback.
Smooth and stable chassis for rough trails
Progressive geometry enhances handling
High-end build kit with efficient drivetrain
Harsh ride quality on very rough terrain
Variable performance from brakes and fork
Not as snappy as some competitors
A smoother operator than the name suggests, this Pig brings big capability for a decent price
If steel’s lauded compliance isn’t present here, you have to ask what sense it makes to use the heavier material when it offers a similar feel to aluminium?
Ragley's all-new Blue Pig Race might cost as much as a well-sorted full sus trail bike, but if you prefer hardtail thrashing thrills then it's one of the best.

Ragley's all-new Blue Pig Race might cost as much as a well-sorted full sus trail bike, but if you prefer hardtail thrashing thrills then it's one of the best. An almost flawless kit list is married to well-sorted geometry that encourages a lairy attitude and has the ability to back it up when it gets rough. A smoother operator than the name suggests, this Pig brings big capability for a decent price
Smooth and stable chassis keeps things calm when you get rowdy
The frame doesn’t need expensive tubing for a quality feel, and sells for £550 on its own
Complicated seatstay profile irons out bump forces transmitted up through the back wheel
Not quite as snappy as some hardtails, with the longer-travel fork in place
