QuietKat Jeep Electric Bike Review – 2023

Jan 2023 · Sam Gross

What do you get when you take the off-roading ethos of the Jeep brand, a full suspension all-mountain chassis and top it off with a souped-up 1,000W mid-drive motor? You get the QuietKat Jeep. In this QuietKat Jeep review, we take a deep dive into the bike’s climbing ability, battery life, off-road performance and more

Highs
  • As far as all-terrain full suspension electric fat bikes go, the QuietKat Jeep is arguably the best handling of the bunch.

  • The 1,000W mid-drive motor is wildly fun and might be the most powerful motor I’ve ridden. I also like that it’s available with a 750W motor for those who want a street legal Jeep.

  • The inverted front fork is a huge plus for this bike. The fat tires on these all-terrain e-bikes are heavy and require a stout fork to keep them on line. This design is the right tool for the job.

  • The 4-piston Tektro Dorado brakes were a great choice. A bike this fast and this heavy (70 lbs) warrants a powerful braking system.

  • Of course the Jeep branding is a little bit of marketing, but after riding this bike, we’d say QuietKat did a great job of living up to the Jeep name. It truly is a go anywhere and do anything e-bike.

Lows
  • The 696Wh battery is a little outmatched by the energy demands of the 1,000W motor. It would be nice to see this bike spec’d with a larger battery, but for now we highly suggest getting a second battery.

  • The GT MRK fork seems to work fine, but at this price I’d like to see a more name brand fork like the Wren inverted fork.
