Summary
The Pivot Vault is a versatile gravel bike praised for its progressive geometry, comfort, and handling. It features increased tire clearance, a lighter frame, and the innovative Pivot Iso-Flex system for vibration damping. However, some builds may not offer the best value for money, and the road-specific drivetrain lacks gravel-specific features.
Versatile geometry for various terrains
Increased tire clearance up to 50mm
Pivot Iso-Flex system for improved comfort
Progressive gravel geometry for better handling
Multiple cable routing and mounting options
Some builds lack value for money
Road-specific drivetrain missing gravel features
Chain can bounce on rough terrain
Limited to 27.2mm seatposts with Iso-Flex
The latest iteration of the Vault is still a fast ride worthy of the Pivot name, but it is first and foremost a gravel bike built to maximize versatility and comfort.
The Pivot Vault is a sublime slice of modern gravel machinery, and the star of the show is the frameset.
It rides smoothly, it's quick on tarmac and rapid in the rough, and can take on technical tracks with flickable fun.
