Summary
The Pinarello Dogma cross-country bike is designed for high-performance racing with a focus on climbing efficiency and stiffness. It features innovative suspension and asymmetric design for optimal energy transfer, though it can be challenging on technical descents. Reviews highlight its superb handling and power delivery, but note limitations in comfort and versatility for less skilled riders.
Superb climbing performance and efficient power transfer
Innovative suspension design for improved stiffness and control
Distinctive and aerodynamic frame aesthetics
Challenging handling on technical descents and rough terrain
Limited tire clearance compared to competitors
High price point and aggressive geometry may not suit all riders
Compared to the latest progressive XC race bikes – which are basically superlight trail bikes – the Dogma XC geometry and riding position are likely to be a real handicap rather than a help to most pilots on technical sections or descents.
But while it's a rocketship on the climbs, it descends back to earth erratically, unless your skills are out of this world.
The rear suspension kinematics take the integration of flex stays into account to maximize energy transfer while pedalling, deliver optimal compression/rebound on technical descents, and enable maximal rider control.Pinkbike
