Summary
The Orbea Rallon is a versatile enduro bike that excels in a variety of terrains, offering a balanced mix of climbing efficiency and descending capability. Its updated geometry and suspension design provide a comfortable and confident ride, though it may lack the composure of some competitors in extremely rough terrain. Customization options and frame storage add to its appeal, making it a strong choice for riders seeking a personalized and high-value bike.
Updated geometry fits firmly in the Post-Revolution era
Frame storage inside the downtube
Extensive customization options including dropper-post length and color
Good pedaling abilities and climbing traction
Confidence-inspiring handling and suspension setup
Lacks composure at high speeds
Struggles in very demanding terrain compared to some competitors
Drivetrain lacks polish compared to Shimano
The new Orbea Rallon is here to give us what we want.
The Orbea Rallon is a great all-rounder, but it reaches its limits in very demanding terrain.
That's what this bike is. It's a supremely good jack-of-all-trades that will be fun to ride on nearly any terrain.

The Rallon underwent the longer and slacker treatment, and also received a secret snack compartment.

Never change a winning horse, so the Orbea Rallon M-LTD sees only minor improvement to the details instead. A new rocker arm in the rear linkage is said to improve the performance of the suspension, and even better, it's available separately as an upgrade for the previous model. But how does the bike fare in direct comparison to the competition?
Very comfortable climber
Predictable and good-natured in the corners
Tons of configuration options
Lacks composure at high speeds
Rattling cables in the frame

The M-Team will blast a rocky descent and happily climb up and do it again.
Great Build
Solid Pedaling Platform
Sluggish dropper post
Odd sizing

Jul 2019 · Seb Stott
Efficient, responsive and lively, but you may want to size up for maximum steep-terrain stability
Naturally rapid on the climbs and lively enough to double as a trail bike
Customisable and top-end spec makes it comparatively good value
Supple suspension maintains speed and inspires confidence
Slightly short (for an XL), so it’s less planted at speed and less surefooted on steep descents than some rivals
