Summary
The Orange Four trail bike is celebrated for its dynamic and playful trail feel, thanks to its refined single pivot suspension and intuitive handling. It's lighter than some carbon bikes, with improvements in frame construction and suspension progression enhancing its ride quality and efficiency. While it excels in fun and capability, some note the absence of a bottle cage mount and issues with the dropper post.
Refined single pivot suspension
Lighter than some carbon bikes
Intuitive handling and playful trail feel
Improved frame construction and suspension progression
Top-quality components
No bottle cage mount
KS dropper post prone to sticking
Thinner material is inherently more flexible
The intuitive interaction between pedal pressure stiffening the suspension and steepening the angles and conversely relaxing your drive and the bike, gives it a deliciously dynamic and infectiously playful trail feel.
With a revised frame construction, Orange’s new Four is light, fast and a bundle of fun.
The Orange Four is sometimes overshadowed by the Five, but Andi finds that the shorter travel bike is a lot more capable than you may think

With a revised frame construction, the new Orange Four is light, fast and a bundle of fun. Short-travel trail bike with 130mm travel front, 120mm rear.
Pedals better, more room for a chain device, lighter weight and improved tyre clearance.
No bottle cage mount, KS dropper post prone to sticking.

The new Orange Four was released earlier this season upon the world, a shorter travel bike than the iconic Orange Five, it claims an amazingly capable feel from just 120 mm of travel. The generous choice of colours, revolutionised geometry and good old British manufacturing make it look viable on paper, but how would it […]
