NS Bikes Define AL 170 is a big-hitting aluminium enduro bike with 180mm front and 170mm rear travelMullet wheels mix a 29in front and 27.5in rear.
Modern geometry and sizing. Excellent suspension components and tyres. Recessed cabling looks sleek but without the hassle of proper internal routing.
Rides like a shorter-travel bike.

We selfishly made the Define 170 for the riding we most enjoy. It is perfect for big jumps and severe terrain, and it is happy on the uphills, too. It is the most aggressive bike in the Define range, but one that is still fun to ride everywhere. Enduro, freeride, bike park ripper, call it what you like – at NS, a company of riders, we have fallen in love with this beast.

To begin with, was there ever really any doubt from the brand who originally put themselves on the map for creating amazing dirt jump hardtails that their latest enduro rig wasn’t going to be one of the most playful bikes of 2020? The Define 150 AL is packed full of promise and has great geometry. It’s not quite as comfy as some and the spec does fall a little short in places

Confident feel to the rear suspension
Functional spec that’ll do the job
Niggling issues with some elements of the spec
Not the comfiest ride on really rough descents
