Summary
The Mondraker Foxy is a versatile enduro bike that excels in aggressive trail riding, offering efficient pedaling, stable descents, and a unique ride quality. Its Progressive Forward Geometry and lightweight frame make it fast on both climbs and descents, though its long wheelbase can be challenging on tight trails. The suspension is responsive but may feel less supple on initial hits.
Efficient pedaling
Stable and planted on descents
Unique Progressive Forward Geometry
Lightweight frame
Responsive suspension
Less supple suspension feel
Challenging on tight singletracks
Long wheelbase reduces traction
Expensive
Initial hits are felt sharply
The Foxy is efficient: crisp pedaling without any hint of a chain-tension induced on/off feel.
This bike is built for absolutely charging not only the descents, but climbs as well.
The Mondraker Foxy XR isn’t quite perfect, but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun.
Carrying a hell of a lot of speed and fearlessly sending steep terrain.
The heart of the Foxy Carbon 29 is an excellent frame with confidence-inspiring geometry and particularly perky pedalling manners.

We have tested the new Mondraker Foxy Carbon RR 2022 with 160 mm/150 mm travel and the MIND telemetry system.
Good mix of composure and agility
Suspension offers plenty of reserves and support
Clean look
Brakes don’t do justice to the character and intended use of the bike
Puncture-prone EXO+ casing doesn’t suit the intended use

Mondraker's Foxy Carbon 29 RR offers a lithe feeling carbon fibre chassis with well-sorted geometry though it doesn't feel like quite as much as of a flat-out slugger as some 150/160mm bikes. The price is also high considering there's some low-rent kit in places, but it's still a fast and fun long-legged trail bike capable of handling itself in the rough.

If there is a single attribute that defines Mondraker, it’s how the Spanish brand has differentiated itself by pushing the boundaries of bike design. Beyond Mondraker’s modern aesthetic, intricate carbon layup and proprietary suspension lies a prophetic design philosophy that gives its bikes a distinct personality and ride characteristics fit for a specific purpose: carrying a hell of a lot of speed and fearlessly sending steep terrain.

The bigger wheels complement the flat-out nature of the bike too, resisting hanging up over rocks and roots, and carving corners confidently, backed up by the long reach, short fork offset (44mm) and stubby stem.. .

Spending some time on my home trails with the Mondraker Foxy RR SL seemed to answer the question - how long is too long when it comes to MTB geo?

A longer and lighter frame with more travel dispatches demanding terrain, but the Foxy can still pedal.

But it still feels like a lot of bike on chill terrain, with no getting around the fact that 29'' wheels and 150mm or rear wheel travel (160mm up front) have more of a presence on the trail than something smaller.
Incredibly confidence inspiring on scary terrain
A monster of a bike when the trail is fast and rough
Very efficient under power
Not as all-around as other bikes w/ the same travel
Short seattube is too short (for me)
Relatively linear feeling rear suspension
