Summary
The Mondraker Dune is a mixed bag, offering stability and composed geometry at high speeds, with a supportive suspension that excels in rough terrain. However, its long length can make it feel unwieldy, and it comes with a premium price tag that doesn't always match the component quality. The bike's design and geometry have been praised for standing the test of time, but some reviews note sluggish suspension and outdated features.
Stable and composed at high speeds
Supportive and well-balanced suspension
Good traction and smoothness on rough terrain
Cutting-edge geometry and sizing
Feels unwieldy due to long length
Premium price without corresponding high-end parts
Sluggish suspension and outdated features
Requires significant rider adjustment
It gains speed quickly, I was going into corners really, really quickly, which was messing me up—’Where are my braking points, I haven’t even started to turn yet?’
The Mondraker Dune is one of our Bike of the Year bikes for 2018.
Proves that good geometry and sizing stands the test of time

There are some bikes that are just flat-out drool worthy, the Dune Carbon RR from Mondraker is definitely one of them. This bike dubbed "super enduro" by

Great geometry, but wheel spec and suspension are more trail than enduro appropriate and kit is poor for the premium price. Buy if you want a taut trail bike feel with uniquely involving handling
Awesome benchmark enduro geometry with efficiently taut pedalling
Non Boost rear end limits tyre options, imbalanced suspension
