Performance often falls by the wayside on all-road bikes, but MERIDA are out to change that with the SCULTURA ENDURANCE 9000 in our all-road group test.
Extremely fun due to the quick acceleration and responsive handling
Well-proportioned & sporty looking frame design
Appealing and well thought through one-piece cockpit
Too little compliance for ultra-long all-road rides

The Scultura 9000 is an excellent race bike that won't require any upgrading out of the box

Superb package
Ride on the firm side (but not ride-spoilingly so)

The Merida Scultura V Team ticks a lot of boxes but is let down by too much vertical compliance, if such a thing is possible
Light
Great handling
Impressive spec
Seatpost may actually flex too much

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 works like a dream

The fifth-generation Merida Scultura takes inspiration from its aero sibling, the Reacto, and the result is nothing short of brilliant. It's one of the fastest, most compliant climbing road bikes we've ever ridden
Fast, yet compliant
Lightweight
Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 groupset perfectly suited to the platform
Impeccable handling manners
Generous tyre clearance
Superlative communication and traction levels
Bahrain Victorious livery is not for everyone
No sprint/satellite shifters

Merida's all-new carbon Scultura Endurance ticks the all-road boxes, mixing race-ready handling with enough tire clearance to venture off-road onto gravel..
Dec 2019 · James Bracey
Merida's lower tier CF2 framed Scultura has a more comfortable and versatile appeal
Smooth, vibration killing ride
Spec
Neutral handling
Sharp edge to paint along top tube
