Merida Reacto 6000 review

Dec 2020 · Simon Bromley

An excellent frameset with good quality finishing kit at an attractive price, but the wheels are a touch underwhelming

Highs
  • Great value

  • Stiff and fast aero frameset

  • Smooth ride quality

  • Great handling

  • Neat cable routing

  • Easy cockpit adjustment

  • Clearance for 30mm tyres

Lows
  • Heavy wheelset and average tyres blunt the bike’s edge

  • Weight weenies will need to look elsewhere

Not the lightest or most comfortable, but if speed is your main goal then the Reacto delivers

Highs
  • Powerful riders will love the stiffness levels

  • Integrated rear seatpost light is a neat touch

Lows
  • Not the lightest aero bike out there

  • Non-series crankset cheapens the look
