The Mason Resolution is celebrated for its modern steel ride quality, blending classic aesthetics with contemporary performance. It excels in handling and versatility, offering clearance for up to 35mm tires, making it a standout in the endurance category. However, its weight and firm ride quality, especially on rough surfaces, are noted drawbacks.
Quintessentially modern steel ride quality
Brilliant handling
Very good tire clearance
Classic good looks
Attention to detail in construction
Substantially heavier than non-ferrous competitors
Firm ride quality, especially in the front end
Limited variety of convertible ports for internal routing
The Resolution 2 just feels good, and I feel good every time I’ve ridden it.
Like the illegitimate child of a Pegoretti and a Surly, it’s a thing of beauty, and it exudes durability and versatility.
Despite the supposed weight penalty, a steel frame can be very competitive.
Masterpiece in showcasing what can be achieved with steel tubing, finished to an incredibly high standard

So good to ride, I nearly bought it for myself.
Quintessentially modern steel ride quality, brilliant handling, very good tire clearance, classic good looks.
Somewhat clumsy internal cable routing, substantially heavier than non-ferrous competitors, not as comfortable as you might expect, so-so value.
