Summary
The Ibis Exie is a lightweight, efficient cross-country bike designed for speed and endurance, with a focus on sustainable manufacturing and modern geometry. Its DW-link suspension provides excellent small-bump sensitivity and efficient pedaling, making it a standout for climbing and technical terrain. While it excels in race and endurance scenarios, it may require more attention on burly descents due to its steep head angle and shorter travel.
Lightweight and efficient pedaling platform
Excellent small-bump sensitivity and suspension performance
Modern geometry and sustainable manufacturing
Playful and precise handling
High-quality, durable frame construction
Steeper head angle noticeable on descents
Higher price point
Limited travel for rough terrain
Some build specs may not suit all riders
The Ibis Exie, while impressively light, is built for today’s XC racer with a magically sturdy-feeling 2000-gram frame, long wheelbase, and modern geometry.
The Exie is the fastest and most efficient full-suspension bike I’ve pedaled.BIKEPACKING.com
The Exie powers up hills without sapping energy, but when you make a mistake or get bumped off line, the suspension is forgiving of mistakes and allows the rider to continue to grind up.Pinkbike

Was the original Ibis Exie intriguing, but too expensive? Ibis just launched a new version that is a lot more affordable!

There's more to the Exie than just a gleaming raw carbon finish and a low number on the scale.
Serious traction both up and down
Quality looking frame
Made in the USA
Steeper head angle is noticeable on the descents
Same length chainstays on all bikes
Lockout lever is in a clumsy position

The ultralight Ibis Exie is made in their solar-powered California factory. Curious about its bikepacking prowess, we had to review one…
Lightweight and beautiful frame made sustainably in the USA
Extremely fast feeling with an efficient demeanor; could be perfect for ultra-endurance racing/riding
Incredibly sure-footed “stick to the trail” feel
Excellent suspension design handles small bumps incredibly well and feels bigger than it is
Massive frame triangle and built-in “portage handle”
Starts to lose its edge on burly technical downhills
A couple of build specs aren’t ideal, in my opinion, including the Rekon Race front tire and the single-piston brakes

With the climbing efficiency of a 100mm travel bike but with more control and stability descending, the Exie is a cross-country bike on steroids with a unique array of abilities.
