Summary
The Giant TCX is celebrated for its lightweight carbon composite frameset, offering a significant reduction in frame weight while maintaining stiffness and comfort. It excels in cyclocross performance with quick, agile handling and impressive acceleration, though some models may lack comfort and gear range for extended climbs. The bike's versatility is highlighted, capable of handling everything from singletrack to road riding, with some versions offering enhanced tyre clearance for gravel adventures.
Lightweight carbon composite frameset
Quick and agile handling
Versatile for cyclocross and gravel riding
Improved seated comfort with D-Fuse SLR seat post
Excellent value for the spec
Lacks some comfort for longer rides
Limited gear range for steep climbs
Heavy wheelset on some models reduces performance
That’s a 200g drop compared to the previous iteration, and that’s before we even talk about the lighter fork…
It lets me burn through singletrack and treat it almost like a hardtail mountain bike, but on the road, while I’m getting to the trails, apart from the hum of the tyres, I almost think that I’m riding a road bike.
An irrefutably decent all-rounder, the Giant TCX Advanced SX brings great geometry and a functional, well-built spec to the gravel tracks, tarmac and trails.

Quick and agile, light weight, good value.
Lacks some comfort, dabbles in gravel category but lacks any of the usual mounts.

This TCX is comfortable, fast, precise and direct, with excellent race-ready performance. Buy if you want an out of the box racer with refined manners and high-class performance
Great package, cyclocross performance, tubeless setup
Maxxis tyres are a little too grippy in the dry

Giant’s tamer, gravel version of their well-known cyclocross bike goes by the name of the Giant TCX Advanced SX with a reworked spec and wholly decent price tag. We’ve had this bike on test to see how much fire they’ve added to the concept.

A solid carbon-framed off-road performer but if you want speed we'd suggest a change of wheels

Giant's TCX Advanced Pro 1 has nimble handling, rock-solid stiffness, and a price that is fair for a top-of-the-line race rig.
