The Giant Reign SX 29 fits in somewhere between an everyday trail bike and the new crop of long-travel 29er freeride sled.

The new Reign offers a very lively, dynamic ride but get it into the really rough stuff and it feels more like a long-travel trail bike than a mini downhill rig
Fox fork and shock offer plenty of useful adjustment and a really smooth, controlled feel
Decent geometry
Dropper post needs to be longer on the medium
Very direct feel with quite a bit of feedback so not the comfiest bike on rough trails
