Summary
The Giant Reign is a formidable enduro bike that excels in downhill performance and stability, with a plush suspension system that generates significant traction. However, it requires fine-tuning to unlock its full potential and can feel harsh over rough terrain. While it's a confident descender, its climbing efficiency and comfort on flatter trails are areas where it falls short.
Excellent downhill stability and traction
Plush suspension for aggressive riding
Top-of-the-line components as standard
Confidence-inspiring geometry on steep tracks
Effective suspension adjustment for climbs
Suspension setup requires fine-tuning
Harsh ride quality over rough terrain
Less efficient on climbs and flatter trails
Firm saddle noted as uncomfortable
Sluggish handling at slow speeds
The Reign Advanced is one of the top-rated bikes in the current crop of 160mm machines.
We expected it to be a ripper descender, but we didn’t expect it to make us feel invincible!
The bike rides through rock gardens as if on rails

"Good things made even better" is the motto for the new Giant Reign Advanced 0. The old Giant Reign was very popular with racers thanks to its potent geo.

Obvious high-speed potential of the excellent frame is stifled by harsh wheels and suspension.

If it's lower, longer, and slacker you want, you've come to the right place.
