Summary
The Giant TCR is celebrated for its stiff, light, and responsive frame, offering a comfortable ride that excels in race conditions. It provides extraordinary value for money, with versions ranging from high-performance carbon models to affordable aluminum frames that rival carbon in ride quality. While the bike's performance is highly praised, some reviews note minor compromises in comfort and aesthetics, and suggest improvements in components like wheels and tyres.
Stiff, light, and responsive frame
Comfortable and easy to ride
Excellent value for money
Versatile and strong performance
High-quality groupsets and components
Carbon rims require some caution
Slightly less stiff and heavier than some competitors
Aesthetic of the compact frame may not appeal to everyone
Wheels and tyres could be improved
the new TCR Advanced defies its branding (and all of the expectations that normally go with it) to challenge the best efforts of race-bred brands with much stronger pedigrees.
Quick, nimble and stiff are all words I’d happily throw at the package.
This TCR SL shows that aluminium can offer a ride that rivals that of carbon
