Summary
The Fezzari La Sal is a highly capable enduro bike that excels in both climbing and descending, offering a comfortable, efficient ride with superlative suspension performance. Its progressive geometry and intuitive handling make it adept at speed and precise in technical terrain, while its consumer-direct model provides astounding value. Despite some initial discomfort in seating position and a pedestrian feel on ascents compared to competitors, it stands out for its versatility and performance.
Comfortable, efficient climber with a very upright seated position
Superlative suspension performance with ample mid-stroke support
Progressive geometry and intuitive handling
Astounding value for the price
Capable of fitting two water bottles inside the front triangle
Initial uncomfortable seating position
Felt pedestrian at first, almost like a hybrid bike
Doesn’t ascend with the eagerness of some competitors
Geometry can make seated climbing position feel cramped
The La Sal Peak was a happy medium with progressive geometry and superlative suspension performance.
At risk of sounding too glowing about the bike, it’s not just that it can do all of these things, but it actually does all of them quite well.
Named after La Sal Peak near the start of the Whole Enchilada trail in Moab, the La Sal is built to descend with confidence and climb with authority.

With a makeover and some compelling selling points, how did the La Sal Peak stack up against its competition?
Excellent climber for having 170 mm of rear travel
Capable in a wide variety of terrain
Great parts kit at each price point
Extremely customizable
More generalist than specialist - it's not quite as solid as other options on high speed, rough trails
Generally "soft" feel

A long-travel 29er worthy of the heaviest lines.
Extremely balanced chassis
Race-oriented handling, with a noteworthy appetite for airtime
Solid climbing manners for the category
Infinite spec options via Fezzari’s custom build program
Excellent initial build quality
Not the same frame three of your buddies already have (unless you live in Lindon)
Only mildly interested in sub-black diamond terrain
More excited for big sends than micro hits
Not trying too hard to win any contests on weight
You can get in a little trouble with the custom build options
