Comfortable, efficient climber with a very upright seated position
Superlative suspension performance with ample mid-stroke support
Progressive geometry and intuitive handling
Astounding value for the price
Capable of fitting two water bottles inside the front triangle
Initial uncomfortable seating position for some riders
Doesn’t ascend with the eagerness of some competitors
Dry, dusty, scrabble-rock covered terrain affected traction
The La Sal Peak was a happy medium with progressive geometry and superlative suspension performance.
At risk of sounding too glowing about the bike, it’s not just that it can do all of these things, but it actually does all of them quite well.
Named after La Sal Peak near the start of the Whole Enchilada trail in Moab, the La Sal is built to descend with confidence and climb with authority.

Good climbing performance, especially for a 150mm bike
Excels on tight, technical terrain
Room for all the water bottles
Geometry can make seated climbing position feel cramped
First generation shock bolt kept coming loose
