Summary
The Felt Decree is a lightweight, trail-ready bike praised for its stiff frame, efficient suspension, and responsive handling. It excels in climbing and offers a fun ride on flowing singletrack, though some reviews note issues with suspension predictability and component choices. The bike's design and performance make it a strong contender in the trail category, with a few areas for improvement.
Lightweight frame design
Efficient suspension performance
Responsive handling
Excellent climbing ability
Stiff and durable construction
Unpredictable suspension behavior
Some component choices limit performance
Can feel twitchy at high speeds
Internal cable routing may cause noise
Tire grip issues on loose terrain
The first thing I noticed about the Decree was its incredible lateral stiffness, thanks to the massive tubes and large bottom-bracket and headtube junctions on its full-carbon chassis.
This bike seemed to like the higher speeds. It definitely rewards a rider who will push it to the limit.
The Decree’s impressive turn of speed and all day comfort make it a joy to ride over long distances.

Fast yet comfortable mile-muncher, only let down on steep ups and downs by slightly outdated geometry

The Felt Decree FRD is a featherweight trail machine that is let down by unpredictable suspension and a cramped cockpit
Stiff, lightweight frame design with a Gucci build kit. Having the same shock tube and carbon rear ends on all five models guarantees the same suspension response, regardless of price.
Narrow 720 mm handlebar, rangy 70mm stem. Also, the sticky rear suspension and lack of Bottomless Tokens in the fork made it impossible to get a good feel for the Decree's handling.
