Summary
The Felt Edict is a cross-country bike praised for its efficient pedaling, quick handling, and innovative suspension design, making it a strong contender for racing and marathon events. However, some reviews note limitations in comfort and versatility, particularly on rougher trails. The bike's performance is highly dependent on the rider's skill level and attention due to its precise handling.
Phenomenally well-pedaling suspension design
Quick handling and cornering ability
Light yet stiff frame
Effective XC racing machine
Innovative rear suspension design
RockShox Monarch RT shock’s platform makes the bike ride too harsh
Not incredibly light at 28.5 pounds without pedals
Limited mud clearance
Twitchy high speed handling
Requires rider's full attention due to its precision and head angle
It’s perfect for an aspiring XC or marathoner, or anyone who just loves smashing pedals.
Felt’s super fast handling might not be fashionable, but it’s brilliant for weaving through tight, technical singletrack or nailing turns and traction on steep climbs
The Edict is a lovely bike to look at, glistening and shining in the sunlight like a swimwear model in a sun shower, we do like its appearance.
If we’d been conducting a cross-country race-bike test, the Felt Edict 1 would’ve been the hands-down winner.
The Felt Edict Nine 60 isn’t your typical 100mm-travel XC bike.

Choosing a bike isn’t as easy as one, two or three. It’s tricky, with a market loaded with brands and options. And then there is the wheel size thing, a painstakingly irritating mess of conflicting opinions and bold marketing hype. What wheel size is best? There is no best. But when it comes down to …
Excellent choice for marathon racing
