Summary
The Eminent Onset is a standout enduro bike with a unique and aggressive design, praised for its AFS suspension system that offers predictable trail feel and good sensitivity. It excels in climbing and descending, providing a stable and planted feel on rough trails, though some riders note it can be less playful on flat terrain. The bike's direct-to-consumer pricing model and high-quality carbon fiber construction add to its appeal, making it a strong contender in its category.
Unique and aggressive design
High-quality carbon fiber construction
Excellent climbing and descending capabilities
Stable and planted feel on rough trails
Innovative AFS (Active Float System) suspension
Slightly heavier than some competitors
Less playful on flat terrain
Low bottom bracket height may cause pedal strikes
The Onset lands a tad toward the acceleration-focused end of the spectrum, but really just a tad.
"It seemed like there was no attention to appearance," Jeff says of his early inspiration to start the company.
The Onset is one of the most different-looking suspension frames that we’ve seen in a while.
