Summary
The Ellsworth Evolution trail bike is praised for its versatile performance, offering 140mm of travel front and rear with options for both 29 and 27.5+ wheels. Its design, including a long reach and short stays, provides a stable and composed ride, while the suspension system delivers a supportive and active feel. Despite some minor drawbacks like a cumbersome rear axle system and a higher price point, the Evolution stands out for its unique features and trail capabilities.

Ellsworths have never been cheap, but they never been in a race to the bottom. They’ve always been out to offer something no one else does, and the Evolution is no exception.
The Ellsworth team clearly put in the hours to craft a rear end that soaks up big hits while remaining efficient on the pedals.
At the heart of this elegant beast is Ellsworth’s ACTIVE Energy Efficient Suspension and custom tuned Fox Factory shock, which feature the patented Instant Center Tracking (ICT) technology which is a fully active four bar link suspension.
