EBC is about as American made as you’ll find in e-bikes. If you have a customer service issue, the rep can literally talk to the person that built your bike to sort out the problem.
Super charger (3.5 amp) charges the standard battery in 2-3 hours, not 6-8 hours like most other e-bike battery chargers (2 amp).
Unique accessories like the anti-theft alarm (with keyfob) and the ability to put turn signals and highbeams on.

Their e-bike models almost exclusively display the category’s defining retro curves, and all feature upright positioning and big, squishy saddles for long-lasting comfort on casual rides. The
The Model A is affordable! Until the release of this model, Electric Bike Company did not offer an e-bike for less than $2k. We’re happy to see their e-bikes becoming more accessible at a lower price point while still being feature-rich.
It offers solid value with a good set of desirable features – including a full package of included commuter-friendly accessories – that is becoming more common on e-bikes in the $1,500 price range.
It’s made in the USA! Like all EBC e-bikes, the Model A is assembled at the company’s factory in Newport Beach, California.
Reliability! EBC offers a 2-year warranty on the battery, and a 10-year warranty on the frame and motor, meaning that you shouldn’t have any problems – but if you do, you can rest assured that the company will have your back.
Tons of safety features! An automatic sensor for the light system, a built-in user agreement in the display, and a default to a deactivated pedal assist system are just a few of its myriad safety-focused elements.
The Model A is beautifully simple to operate. With a single-speed drivetrain, an intuitive pedal assist system (PAS), and a throttle, riders can get up to speed easily without worrying about shifting.
It ships fully assembled! A quick handlebar adjustment is all that is required before hopping on and taking the bike for a spin!
We love all of the features packed into the Model A (especially at its price) but the separate modules for many of its controls leave the cockpit feeling a little cluttered.

EBC custom builds their bikes for the customer, meaning they can build your bike with more unique features, like frame and wheel colors, gearing, battery capacity and accessories to enhance your ride
It’s easily one of the most comfortable e-bikes you’ll find anywhere. Frame ergonomics, upright riding posture, handlebar reach, pedals, and cushy seat all add up to a nice ride.
Weight capacity of 420 lbs means this bike can carry 80-100 lbs more than most any other cruiser out there. This is great for heavier riders, and riders who need to carry cargo.
A 10 year warranty on the motor is the best we’ve seen for motors, indicating manufacturer’s confidence in their product, so the buyer can be confident, too.
Fast charging! A 3.5 amp super charger charges battery in 2-3 hours, not 6-8 hours like many others.
The single-gear of our test model felt a little limited. Fortunately, it’s one of the many upgrade options and we’d recommend the 7-speed drivetrain.

Comes standard with bright integrated lights and reflective puncture-resistant tires. You can order optional paint-matched fenders with reflective rubber ends. Optional rear rack and front basket add utility (both rated at 50lbs). Powerful 180mm hydraulic disc brakes with dual piston calipers, adjustable-reach levers, and motor inhibitors. Premium branded saddle and black or brown locking grips.
Highly adjustable drive modes offer Class 1, 2, or 3 operation (pedal assist, throttle, and 28mph options). The variable speed trigger throttle is easy to use, and the sealed 12-magnet cadence sensor performs consistently. Long steel handlebar, vibration-dampening steel fork, and high-volume tires provide good comfort, but EBC also sells an optional seat post suspension for further comfort.
Purpose built frame hides wires and cables, the battery completely disappears into the downtube, but the frame only comes in one size. Shipping costs $199 extra, unless you're able to visit their headquarters in Newport Beach California to buy in person. The 7-speed drivetrain, custom paint, racks, alarm system, and other extras all cost extra. The frame-mounted headlight doesn't turn as you steer, kickstand causes pedal lock, no bottle cage bosses.
