Sep 2018 · Seb Stott

An astonishing value, eager and rewarding ride with a slightly more ‘freeride’ feel. Buy if you're after an option for versatile bike-park antics

Highs
  • Generous sizing makes for a comfy cockpit, supportive suspension, air shock offers easily tuneable support and bottom-out resistance

Lows

[Tested] Commencal Furious Essential

Apr 2018 · Simon Silver

In September, Commencal USA sent us out their mid-spec’d build of their Freeride oriented Furious, dubbed the Essential.  Featuring an intriguing matte green paint scheme and all black parts, the bike is an eye-catcher, with small details like having even the chain blacked out. Let’s dive in… Details and Specs AL 6066 triple butted tubes Oversized pivot bearings Rocker/seat stay integration to form a single piece Internally routed cables/hose Chainstay and Downtube protectors
