The Cervélo S3 Disc is claimed to be better than the rim-brake version in pretty much every way. Most importantly, the loss of the rim brake calipers has resulted in a claimed saving of two watts over the standard model

Ultimately if you are looking for a fast, responsive bike with the reassurance of disc brakes, the Cervélo S3 Disc is a fantastic option

And Cervelo has clearly put a lot of consideration into how to add disc brakes without compromising on aerodynamics

A quick bike full of thrills, but only for the deep of pocket. Buy if you want to go fast and stop fast, and are prepared to make a couple of upgrades to get the best from the chassis
