Summary
The Cannondale Topstone is a versatile gravel bike that excels in off-road performance and comfort, thanks to its innovative suspension technologies like the Lefty Oliver fork and Kingpin rear suspension. It offers a balanced and responsive ride, making it a favorite for gravel enthusiasts. However, some models face criticism for component quality and limited mounting options.
Innovative suspension technologies (Lefty Oliver fork, Kingpin rear suspension)
Balanced and responsive handling
Versatile for both on and off-road use
Comfortable ride quality
Good tire clearance for various terrains
Limited mounting options on some models
Component quality varies across builds
Heavier than some competitors
Proprietary parts can limit customization
Now it’s a real full suspension gravel bike.
Simply put, this is the best gravel-centric front suspension I’ve used to date.
The Cannondale Topstone Lefty 1 is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of those who want a drop handlebar combined with that mountain bike feeling on the descents and when riding off-road.

Cannondale's attention to detail on the Topstone is excellent, and they've made some really interesting design choices to stand out in an increasingly-crowded category. Apparently they've succeeded -- the Topstone 105 has been the third most popular bike on all of 99 Spokes this year.

Descends well
Good power transfer

Componentry could be better

Fork is excellent
Balanced and responsive handling
Lefty hub limits wheel choice
Would like more clearance

The Cannondale Topstone Lefty 3 draws from the best ideas in Cannondale’s history. It’s a full-suspension gravel race bike that brings back the out-of-the-box thinking we've come to expect from Cannondale
Lots of tyre clearance
Front suspension is easily locked out
Adaptable for different uses
No mounts on the fork
Mudguards aren’t available
