Astro Pro

A motorcycle inspired electric bike with premium integrated lights, turn signals, electronic horn, fenders, and adjustable high speed performance. Custom designed aluminum alloy frame, triple crown suspension fork, swept-back handlebar, gel saddle, and rear rack set the Astro apart from similar products.

Powerful 750 watt Bafang hub motor responds quickly to a 24 magnet cadence sensor in the bottom bracket, and half-grip variable speed twist throttle on the right handlebar. Very clean aesthetic with most cables and electrical wires internally routed, including the 28 amp fully potted controller box.

Fat tire hub spacing and sturdy cast alloy rims support large Kenda Kraze 20" x 4.25" moped tires that include puncture protection. Large display panel is backlit, transflective, and adjustable angle, making it easy to see in most conditions. 7-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain offers wide 11-34 tooth freewheel.

Heavier than most electric bicycles at 95lbs (43kg). No height adjustability on the saddle, so pedaling can be uncomfortable. USB charge port on button pad is blocked by grip shifter housing, which is flipped and on the left vs. right. Indiegogo launch means the actual release timing is uncertain, direct to consumer requires some assembly and limits support.
