Overview
The MTX "Multi-Terrain Crossover" range of front suspension hybrid bikes is incredibly versatile. Lightweight aluminium frames with stable and comfortable riding positions, broad gear ranges, powerful hydraulic disc brakes and short travel suspension forks mean these bikes can handle almost anything. Rough roads, cycle paths and off-road trails are all in a day's work for an MTX.The 8.6 is the starting point for our MTX range, with a fantastic specification making it a real go-anywhere bike. Handling and position are tailored for control and comfort, with the upright riding posture ensuring a great view of the road or trail ahead. A 63mm travel Suntour NEX suspension fork smooths the ride, which combined with Schwalbe's grippy and Kevlar puncture-protected 35mm Tyrago tyres, means loose or rough surfaces are easily handled.Shimano's 2X9 speed Altus gears give an excellent range for steep inclines or fast descents, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful and easily controlled stopping. Saddles are often a literal sore point for many people, so tackle this, we've employed pressure mapping technology to design saddles for the range that suit the majority of behinds to improve the cycling experience.
