Summary
The BMC Teammachine SLR is celebrated for its race-winning DNA, offering a superb blend of speed, comfort, and handling. Its advanced technologies like ACE+ and Aerocore system enhance aerodynamics, stiffness, and rider comfort, making it a top choice for competitive cyclists. While it excels in performance and integration, some components and proprietary designs may limit customization options.
Advanced ACE+ technology for optimal stiffness and compliance
Aerocore water bottle cage system improves aerodynamics
Superb handling and power transfer
Comfortable for long rides with Tuned Compliance Concept
Lightweight with a 9% reduction compared to previous generation
Proprietary D-shaped seat post may limit aftermarket options
Some builds come with sub-par wheels and tyres
Partially exposed cables due to non-one-piece bar and stem
This is the fastest Team Machine SLR ever created.
Creating a richly rewarding and enjoyable ride experience, we had to include it in Editor’s Choice.
'the SLR ticked all the boxes for a GC bike: great at descending, good compliance and superb handling.'

Even at first glance, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 ONE leaves no doubt that it wants to be fast on all terrain. The no-frills integration indicates good aerodynamics, while the shallow rims hint that the bike can climb fast. Read here whether the goods match the looks in comparison with the four fastest race bikes of the 2021 season.
Low susceptibility to crosswinds
Rides very fast on the flats despite the shallow wheels
Great balance between racing stiffness and comfort
Combination of smoothness and directness
Falls short of our expectations on the hills
Rattling SRAM shift levers
No power meter installed

Great ride quality
Loads of feedback from the frameset
