Summary
The 3T Exploro RaceMax is a versatile gravel bike that blurs the lines between road and off-road performance, offering aero advantages and the ability to fit large tires. It's praised for its speed, handling, and versatility across various terrains, though some reviews note a firm ride quality and quirky handling characteristics. The bike's design and performance make it a standout for riders looking for a fast, capable gravel bike that doesn't compromise on road-like efficiency.
Aero road race bike with huge tire clearance
Fast on the road, fast on gravel
Sharp and precise handling
Very stiff and reactive frame
Improved compliance over the original Exploro
Firm ride quality, not floaty or compliant
Not as stable-feeling as some other gravel bikes
Oddly limiting tire clearance
Polarizing aesthetics
Awkward cable routing entry port
The 3T Exploro RaceMax blurs lines and defies categorization.Bicycling
It’s surprisingly successful at being both a fast road bike for keeping up with the bunch as well as a highly adept off-road machine for hitting the trails, but where it falls short is the more important middle ground where the meat of the bell curve lies.
The RaceMax is such a capable on-tarmac machine that I’d have no problem riding this in the midst of a chaingang of out-and-out road race bikes.

Works on gravel and in the city
Good control due to wide handlebars
Direct-mount 160-mm-brakes front and rear
Light weight for an e-gravel bike
Look and feel of the brake levers
Tends to be nervous on demanding surfaces
Limited comfort

For all the talk about tire clearance, this bike really could use more of it.
Surprisingly good at the usage extremes, innovative frame design, genuinely goes fast everywhere
Oddly limiting tire clearance, polarizing aesthetics, awkward cable routing entry port, curious handling quirks, overly muted ride quality
